Essbase Marketplace Update: What’s New in Stack Release 21.7.3.0.2

Oracle recently released a new Essbase Marketplace stack update: version 21.7.3.0.2. This release primarily adds support for Terraform 1.5. If you are not planning a redeployment or do not require a Terraform upgrade, you may be able to skip this update for now. Oracle’s Essbase documentation still references the previous stack version, 21.7.3.0.1 (released in August), for all new features, enhancements, and patches.

However, if your Marketplace deployment is running a version older than 21.7.3.0.1, it is worth considering an upgrade. For customers on versions prior to 21.7.3.0.1, this new stack brings:

  • Updated Fusion Middleware (FMW) components

  • An upgraded Java runtime

  • A wide range of bug fixes and stability improvements

In short, while 21.7.3.0.2 is a light update, it becomes an important one if you are running a significantly older stack or planning infrastructure changes that require modern Terraform support.
