Challenge

Converting multi-lingual master data and properties from EPMA to DRM structures.

Outcomes

Project was successfully completed on time, within a 2 month time frame. The completed project provided the client with an Oracle supported and more robust automated master data governance solution than that provided using the deprecated EPMA tool.

Background

Client was using deprecated product (EPMA) to perform master data management and governance functions for Hyperion/Oracle HFM implementation; the solution was to migrate these functions and data to a fully supported and automated solution using DRM/DRG.

Implementation Highlights

  • Evaluate current EPMA master data configuration to determine DRM design and migration solution

  • DRM/DRG installed and configured

  • EPMA Master data extracted and converted to DRM ingestion formats

  • Design DRM/DRG configuration and implement per design

  • Required HFM properties

  • Build Data import and export processes

  • Implement data validation rules

  • Import appropriately formatted EPMA master data into DRM – validate DRM data with EPMA source and HFM target data

  • Implement automated update process from DRM/DRG to HFM
